"How do you start a church?" The beginning of a church can be a new thought for many. Sometimes it feels like churches have 'always existed,' but every church has a start up story. Garden City Church is a new church launching in Prince George with a dream of seeing the renewal of the city through lives transformed by Jesus.
We are intentionally starting Garden City Church from the ground up with a three phased plan.
PHASE 1 - START-UP
Our start-up phase began in January 2024. The first is establishing partnerships with organizations and relationships with people. The second focus is gathering those who are interested in being part of the team that helps get this church started.
PHASE 2 - PRE-LAUNCH
In this next phase we continue to gather and add people to the team focusing on training and equipping. We gather twice a month for team development and formation. There will also be space for community outreach and evangelism events.
PHASE 3 - LAUNCH
Our Launch Sunday is planned for September 15, 2024. This will mark the starting line of our regular Sunday gatherings. At this point the full expression of who we are as a church will be happening weekly.
